Early 1940s cotton twill riding pants, jodhpurs size 26" waist

1940s Riding Pants

Design - Here we have a fantastic pair of early 1940s jodhpurs or riding pants in a brown and white denim twill. They feature two side pockets, five buttons up the side, a leather strap at the waist that we can't seem to figure out? and two milk chocolate brown suede leather patches in the thigh. These were definitely made as riding pants for horseback. A great lean pair with that dramatic wide flare at the hips.


Material - brown and white salt and pepper cotton denim twill.

Condition - These jodhpurs are in good condition. The only oddball thing is the leather strap, which has holes on one side and an intentional slash on the other. One strap may go into the other or it may be refashioned with a button. Normally we repair our vintage pieces but this one isn't exactly a repair. We have decided to leave it up the wearer to determine what to do with. We will send a vintage button along with it if you decide that is the way you would like to wear these. It comes to you in clean, ready-to-wear- vintage condition.
