One of a kind...

Design - It is a very rare for us to list something that is not at least 60 years old. This is one of those exceptions. This comes from a collector in New Mexico that had this hand made for her locally. While it is a hand made commercial piece it really embodies the look of early clothing made from blankets; jackets, vests and so on, that we couldn't pass it up. It is made from a cotton/wool blend and is thick and sturdy but soft and flexible, too. It features coloring and patterning resembling Navajo gananda style rugs. The blanket has been cut and shaped to fit the shoulders and has had a button fastener added. There is uniform wear to the middle part of the jacket, which may have been done intentionally. While not of the early 1920s or 1930s it definitely was made in that spirit. A beautiful authentically hand woven piece.
