Early Lowe and Campbell Jersey...

Design - This is an absolutely fantastic 1940s Lowe and Campbell basketball warm up jersey in a spun cotton with a thick pile (early cousin of cotton fleece). It features a quarter zip front complete with a 1940s Talon bell pull, a sailors collar with red trimming and red and white ribbed cuffs and waist band. A red number 11, which was obviously the players number (back when they just counted from 1 to however many players were on the team) adorns the bottom of the left sleeve. It has a great shawl collar look when zipped. The thing to love most about this pullover is its early styling. Lowe and Campbell had nearly identical versions of this jersey offered in their earlier catalogs from the 1930s. A fantastic survivor and an exceptional piece.
