1912 Museum Piece...
Design - Here we have an absolutely exceptional example of an early gym suit or exercise outfit from the year 1912. These early gym suits are extremely similar, with some being interchangeable, to early two-piece swimsuits. This one however hails from rural California, Kingsburg High School women's exercise class. It features a one piece top and bloomer set with sailor-like collar and white corduroy tie and 3/4 length active wear sleeves with a large "K" (for Kingsburg High School) on the right sleeve. It has front pleats and hooks all the way down from the collar and past the wide banded waist. The bloomers cinch with ties to the size of the wearers legs. The pleated over-skirt hooks to the one pieces waist and then fastens together to be worn over top of the bloomers. These pieces are rarely for sale on the open market and found mostly in museum collections so take advantage of this opportunity to own such a rare and wonderful example.

Maker - There is no makers mark but it is made in very standard construction for the era.
