Bespoke Peal & Co. Riding Boots!
Design - Here we have an absolutely unique and gorgeous pair of early 20th century (Most likely between 1910 and early 1920) riding boots from Peal & Co. These beautiful boots features the more pointed, rather than rounded cap toes of later years and lace up the front until the front pieces folds across the front at an exquisitely designed angel and then laces to hooks in an angular fashion that we have never seen before. The soles are nailed. These boots are pure elegance and style, which is to be expected, even after over 100 years, by Peal & Co. craftsmen.
Material - a supple patina'd mahogany brown leather
Maker - " Appointment by - Peal & Co. 487 Oxford St. London W. London England" Peal & Co. are one of the oldest boot makers in London and arguably were the best, making the finest in bespoke footwear for centuries and for some of the worlds most prominent leaders, actors/actresses, entertainers and more. Sadly, it was a lack of craftsmen that forced them to close in 1965, unable to hand make the shoes and boots in a timely fashion for the modern demand.
