Dearest Tom...How I Wonder Where You Ramble
Design - Here we have a great example of an early photo ring. It features a sepia toned photo of a handsome man with wavy hair peaking out from underneath a tilted-back hat. It is covered by a thin layer of clear plastic and set in a marcasite style ring with strong Art Deco styling on the face of the ring and on the setting underneath. It was not made from pure silver and the brass shows itself in worn spots. It was made by Uncas, using their 1920s-80's hallmark. It is most likely a piece from the year 1920 as it is a match for the styling they put out that year. A wonderful piece that is a true one-of-a-kind. Won't you help poor Tom put down his ramblin' ways?
