Design - This an amazing two piece, 1940s playsuit with shorts and a matching halter top in a sturdy white cotton with a red, white and blue accents and trims. The shorts are so hip huggingly perfect. They are high-waisted with a striped waist band and two small faux pockets at the waist, they then flare just a bit at the bottom for semi, skirt like effect. There are two long pleats up the front and they fasten with four large white buttons up the entire side of the hips and waist.

The halter top is basically two tone with the striped part making up the front of the top, the halter ties and both the top and bottom trim. It has some unique design features such as the long ties, pleated sides and my favorite there is a loop at the bottom of the top that hooks over the white button that adorns the center of the top, giving it a cinched look! It fastens in back with three large white buttons, as well. Such a stand out piece!

Maker - There is no makers mark but is expertly designed and made.

Condition - This playsuit is in very good vintage condition, the cotton is a crisp white and the red and blue stripes are vibrant but not in their original condition. This beauty comes to you in clean, ready-to-wear vintage condition.
