Unique 1940s Two Tone Charmer...
Design - This is truly unique Deadstock Canadian jacket from the 1940s. The Jacket is simply brimming with vintage style! It features a pebbled pig-grain leather across the shoulders and up back and is also trimming the two front slash pockets and two side buckles which are adorned with a fantastic silver buckle with Art Deco engravings, this feature is what gives the jacket a very fitted motorcycle or leather jacket look of the era. The other material is a sturdy khaki green canvas with a very denim or duck cloth feel to it. The zipper up the front is similar in style to the American Talon zipper which helps to date the jacket. The button cuffed sleeves have like colored khaki green buttons. It is lined in a crème colored flannel. You would be hard pressed to find another jacket like "The Champ"
Material - Grained pig skin and khaki canvas.
Maker - "The Champ (with a graphic of a golden trophy) - Tailored by Manitoba Pant Mfg. Co. Ltd Winnipeg" It has another tag "Lot 801 - Size 38 - Price 8.95"
I have photos of the label please message me to view.
