A Bartender An Athlete and a Great Ball Cap...

Design - This cap, from the year 1960, belonged to Bob Lamb, whose name and address can be found on the underbill of the hat. With the help of an Anaheim stadium historian we found out that Bob Lamb was a bartender at the original Anaheim stadium, in California, for years and was beloved by the athletes of all of the teams that played there. The cap belonged to the San Diego Chargers but when they were actually first formed by the American Football League and started out as the Los Angeles Chargers. They played in the original Anaheim stadium for one year, in the year 1960, before they moved to San Diego and became the team everyone knows them as today. We are unsure even after much digging which player gave Bob the hat, but we imagine them giving it to him as a gift of gratitude as he listened to their sorrows over a cold beer.

The hat is a dark navy blue, with white felt lightning bolts on each side and the number #42 on the center.
