High 1940s Fashion From the High Desert...

Design - This gorgeous 1940s suit is rich with style. It features a kind of wine red and coal black gradient style striping with matching wine red rounded buttons up the front with carvings. It was designed to have a fitted waist, two long vents pointing down from top on the front, framing the jackets sophisticated collar. The cuffs are cuffed and have a flare point. The most unique design feature of the jacket are the front pockets which are mock and have a double layered, South Western kind of look. The jacket was made for a shop in Santa Fe, New Mexico, so it may have been designed with the local influence in mind. As you can see from the photos it is extremely flattering on.

Material - Wine red, charcoal black, slate grey, wool blend.

Maker - "The Guarantee - Santa Fe - - Styled by Swansdown - New York"
